  13. I have some troubles with my modem (which is a Rockwell based modem, 
  14. precisely an Alto 28800 internal) :

  16. + When I do ATI 2, which gives information about the ROM checksum, it returns 
  17. ERROR. Is this normal ? What could be the effect ?

  19. + When I connect using the compression protocol V42bis, I cannot hang up
  20. in less than 30 seconds (which is a problem when you wait a call back).

  22. + When I connect using the compression protocol MNP5, I have got since recently
  23. (precisely after doing some hacks in Win95 network configuration) errors flowing
  24. saying (under Trumpet Winsocket) [Error Frames = 3] (I am not sure that it's the
  25. exact semantic).
  26. Is it due to my modem or to the remote modem ?
